FSST Forward connects communities with disability resources and promotes simple steps that strengthen accessibility.

FSST Forward is a movement committed to better accessibility, greater inclusion, and building communities where people with disabilities are truly supported.

Amy Tisdale is a disability advocate, author, and community educator whose life was forever changed by a massive stroke at age 43. Navigating life after stroke gave Amy firsthand insight into how often survivors and people with disabilities face misunderstanding, barriers, and lack of support long after the hospital stay ends.
She founded FSST Forward (From Signs to Strength) to bridge that gap—helping communities recognize stroke signs, understand life after stroke, and take meaningful steps toward accessibility and inclusion.
Rooted in faith and fueled by resilience, Amy’s mission is to transform awareness into action and compassion into practical support, so individuals and communities alike are better equipped to move forward together.

FSST Forward advocates for:
Inclusive accessibility that honors both visible and invisible disabilities
• Practical community education that transforms awareness into response
• Survivor-centered support that extends beyond hospitalization and rehabilitation
• Stronger local communities where people with disabilities can live, work, and thrive close to home
• Improved access to rehabilitation and therapy resources, especially in underserved areas
Recognizing the signs is just the beginning—
real impact happens when communities are equipped to respond, support, and sustain life beyond the moment of crisis.

FSST Forward is developing programs and initiatives that include:
